Update: ultrasound for recurrent plugged duct

....I'm sorry to say, it didn't work for me. Very sorry to say it, in fact,
since the dragged plug was back today and G-baby *really* dislikes the
position I have to put her in, to even partially drain that portion of my
breast. I even had 2 treatments. Darn, darn, darn. I hope this won't put my
Dr. off recommending it for other women. Because it might help *them* after
all.

Meanwhile, the crack at the base of my nipple is slowly, very slowly healing
from the two ends, in. Instead of cutting its way halfway around my nipple,
now it's more like 1/3. Or maybe 2/5. Also latch-on isn't quite as
painful as it had been (except for the position necessary to drain that one
upper quarter of my breast, sigh).

Alas, the vasoconstriction was not improved by treatment #2 and it's back in
force, so I probably just had a fluke of a good day the first day. Feels
like being jabbed with an ice pick. Also so far, Vit. B6, 2000mg/day
calcium and 1000mg/day magnesium aren't helping. I seem to remember this
resolving on its own in my first lactation, I just don't remember when. I'm
beginning to wonder whether it's worth it to down 12 *more* capsules a day -
this time of EPO or fish oil - for 6 weeks, to see if that will help.
