Default Do I Have Separation Anxiety?

Absolutely agree it is easier to speak to a stranger than someone you
know. My little boy has an ear infection and wants to be carried 24-7.
It is nice that he only wants me but man my back is killing me. I
really hope you get some of your worries sorted out and DD is feeling
better. I am sure the medication the doctor gave her will do the trick.
Best wishes xx

I think that you should talk to your ob-gyn or a counsillor. All of
your emotions get muddled up and if you can't get a bit of help or
support to re-arrange yourself things can get out of hand. You just
sometimes need to sit back and take a deep breath and remember just how
lucky you are and that nothing or no-one else in this world will matter
to you as much as your baby does. I think some mums look down there
nose at you cause you don't want to leave them with a childminder or
family member when they are weeks old. I used to imagine horrible
things happening to my baby if I did not stare at him 24 hours a day. I
just wish someone had told me it is ok and totally normal. My wee boy
is now two and driving me mad. The pain and misery I suffered seems
like a life time ago

I have an appointment set for today (10/10/06). I have off days where
I feel horrible - and then there are days when I am happy as a clam.
DD had a horrible weekend. She was just not herself - and not sleeping
at all. We found out yesterday that she has reflux... Which now she
has to take Zantek (did I spell that right). But I enjoyed her
yesterday because she wanted nothing more than to be in her mother's
arms... And it's amazing when you look down at them and they just
smile back at you.

I am looking forward to my appointment tonight - speaking to someone
who is outside of the box will be truly helpful. It's hard to talk to
the people who are close to me because I don't want to worry them and
also because they might not understand... I'm also grateful for
everyone here because you all know the ups and downs of being a
mother... I have to admit though - the UPS are definitely wonderful!
And they definitely overrun the downs... Thanks all!
