Default Night light in nursling's room

I need a light that's dim enough to leave it on during the night yet
bright enough that I can change diapers without turning the regular
lights on. Also, it should be cheap! what do you use?

Thanks.

I have a night light right near the changing table-it works pretty well, and
doesn't seem to bother Alli in the slightest. It's just a standard one,
which we leave on all the time.

We installed a dimmer switch in DS's room so that we could just
turn the light on a little if we wanted to check on him.

My husband put the overhead light on a dimmer switch. Very cheap if you
can do it yourself; expensive if you need an electrician. Useful in the
long term, for toddler calming time, for big kids who are sick, etc.

A dimmer switch on the light itself.

We have one of those "indiglo" type night lights. It glows at night, but not
during the day.

40 watt blue light bulb in one of your normal lights or a bedside lamp -
works really well and is very cheap. Also transportable if you need to go
somewhere else - I always pack one when we travel. Someone on one of these
newsgroups (maybe MKB) gave me this tip years ago and it was a really useful
suggestion.

cheers
