Default Which sippy cup is best for supplementation?

I've been working on getting my DS off of supplementation for quite some
time. We were having what seemed like nipple confusion issues a few weeks
back and I looked into sippy cups but then he started nursing okay again. I
didn't know what to buy, so I just dropped the issue. Well now I'm having
problems (and sore nipples) again and I realize that I have to get serious
if I want this to work.

I remember seeing 3 brands of sippy cups marketed towards being a "training"
or transition sippy cup at Wal-Mart. One was a Wal-Mart brand and the other
two were major brands (can't name them offhand, but I think one was Gerber).

Can anyone give me any recommendations towards which ones they've had
success with? I've seen threads on parenting boards in the past on how some
sippy cups are indeed better than others, but I can't remember what brand
was recommended.

My son never would take a regular sippy cup... because he coudln't do it
himself (just couldn't tilt his head back far enough) so the only success
we've had are the ones with the silicone straws, and the sports bottle type
ones.

We found the First Years' disposable/reusable cups to be best for starting
with. They aren't completely spill-proof, so it is much easier for the baby to
get the liquid out. Plus, they're a lot cheaper than regular sippy cups. I
bought a set of 4 about 6 months ago, and they're all still in perfect
condition even after putting each one through the dishwasher several times a
week. Plus, if you need a smaller sippy cup you can use their sippy cup lids
on their snack bowls.

For a little baby soft spout tips are best. I did find one cup at
walmart with a soft spout. I don't remember the brand though. Avent
also makes soft spout sippy cups.

Don't use a sippy cup until your son is old enough to be holding his own
cup and spills are an issue. Use a lightweight plastic disposable or
washable cup right from the beginning.

One advantage is that regular cups are a lot easier to find than sippy
cups, and another advantage is that, apparently, there's less chance of
having nipple confusion.
