CHIROPRACTIC PHYSICIANS: See the very end of this post.

CHIROPRACTIC FOR ER PHYSICIANS (SIMPLE BIRTH STUFF)...

Emergency Room (ER) physician Timothy C. Stallard, MD, FACEP wrote (w/
Burns):

"In shoulder dystocia, generous episiotomy, drainage of the bladder,
McRobert's maneuver, and suprapubic pressure may all help disengage the
anterior shoulder...The supine position can lead to aortocaval compression."
-- Stallard and Burns [Emerg Med Clin North Am. 2003 Aug;21(3):679-93.
PubMed abstract]

OPEN LETTER (archived for global access***)

Timothy C. Stallard, MD, FACEP
Department of Emergency Medicine
Health Science Center
Texas A&M University System
Temple, TX
USA

Tim,

EMERGENCY!

The supine position places the woman on her sacrum thereby closing her birth
canal up to 30%.

The usual alternative - semisitting - closes the birth canal *with more
force* (the woman is on her sacral apex).

Obviously Tim, it makes NO sense to perform an episiotomy - "generous" or
otherwise - to help OPEN the birth canal - with the birth canal senselessly
CLOSED up to 30%.

OBs know this - but they recommend "generous" ("big") episiotomies anyway -
not for the benefit of the woman - but for the benefit of any future JURIES
who may review the birth!

According to the attorney authors of Operative Obstetrics - James
J.Nocon and Les Weisbrod (Nocon is the MD obstetric specialist):

"Make a big episiotomy. Although there is no evidence that it does
anything other than enhance the ability to insert one's hand in the
vagina, it will indicate that the operator is functioning in a logical
and systematic manner. Again, the failure to perform an episiotomy has
not been shown to contribute to any injury." (p. 349)

In 1997, I asked,

"Is an obstetric specialist who performs an episiotomy as he jams the
sacral tip up to 4 cm into the outlet really 'functioning in a logical
and systematic manner?'"

OB/GYN-Listowner Geffrey Klein, MD censored me immediately after asking this
simple question...

Regarding shoulder dystocia...the American College of Obstetricians and
Gynecologists/ACOG shoulder dystocia video (whose message is in effect "how
to allow the birth canal to open maximally when the shoulders get stuck") -
constitutes an indirect admission that MDs are indeed routinely closing
birth canals.

Even more incredibly - the form of McRoberts maneuver demonstrated on the
ACOG shoulder dystocia video teaches MDs to KEEP the birth canal closed when
the shoulders get stuck!

Regarding suprapubic pressure...

With the mother semisitting or dorsal (on her sacrum), suprapubic pressure
just closes the birth canal with more force.

Tim, if your ER article (I only read the abstract) did not mention these
points, I urge you to write another article.

PLEASE Tim - help stop MDs from closing birth canals.

In doing so you will be practicing NON-SPINAL chiropractic - helping to save
tiny lives and tiny limbs - and PREVENTING more vertebral subluxations than
DCs will ever be able to adjust by hand.

Thanks,

Sincerely,

Todd

Dr. Gastaldo

PS1 GRUESOME spinal manipulation by MDs...

On maternity wards everywhere Tim, OBs are not only routinely closing birth
canals - they are (as a
consequence) GRUESOMELY manipulating most babies' spines at birth....

Obviously, ALL spinal manipulation is gruesome with the birth canal
senselessly closed.

Some babies are dying Tim... OBs are killing an estimated six babies per DAY
with vacuum-assisted spinal
manipulation alone - with birth canals senselessly closed up to 30%...

See USUAL MECHANISM (PS5) in my article, "Pregnant chiro patients: BIZARRE
chiro legislation - babies be damned..."
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/chiro-list/message/2135

Tim, if your hospital has a maternity ward, please tell the OBs: If you
must pull - and sometimes you must - first get the woman off her butt/back -
off her sacrum.

Since this is an emergency, ER physicians should take the lead nationwide...

I'cc the other emergency physicians with email addresses on the Society for
Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) web page...
http://www.saem.org/rescat/tx.htm

For further details and references...

embolisation)...

PS2 CMS/MEDICARE/MEDICAID (via Federal Official Keri and
Federal Official Diana
) - esp. Federal Official
Diana...

Diana, will the CMS PPAC members receive my first email prior to their Sept.
16, 2003 meeting?

See again: MEDICARE/MEDICAID FRAUD (was PPAC, vaccinations and chiro
bouncer Bob (Bob Dubin, Diplomate, American Board of Chiropractic

It would be great if the world's largest health insurance program (DHHS/CMS)
would lead the way on stopping MDs from closing birth canals and preventing
gruesome spinal manipulation by MDs...

PS3 Tim, this being a CHIROPRACTIC emergency (gruesome mass spinal
manipulation by MDs) I'm *hoping* that my fellow chiros will help stop OBs
from closing birth canals.

But so far, chiro "leaders" are censoring me. See Chiro Bouncer Bob Dubin
discussed at the URLs above.

I'm hoping Chiro Bouncer Bob's chiro luminaries Larry Wyatt, DC and Chet
Wilk, DC will help - but so far they've been silent. I'll cc them again.

Brian seems to be going along with the gag at the
Chiro Bouncer Bob Censorship Show...I'll cc Brian again too...

BRIAN, supposedly you are "co-moderating" with Chiro Bouncer Bob... PLEASE
post this to the ACA and CCA listservs - and to the Chiro Bouncer Bob Show.

CHIROPRACTIC PHYSICIANS: Please join me in urging Chiro Bouncer Bob and
Brian to post this to the ACA and CCA listservs - and to the Chiro Bouncer
Bob Show.

I'd like to see ACA/WCA/ICA/FSCO unity on this issue BEFORE the Sept. 16,
2003 ACA House of Delegates meeting in Albuquerque. Teleconference now! Do
it for the tiniest chiropractic patients!

Thanks for reading, everyone,

Sincerely,

Todd

Is anyone else being locked out of my Open Letter to FTC
http://home1.gte.net/gastaldo/part2ftc.html? When I go there (good
reference source), I get this message:
Locked The requested resource is currently locked. The lock must be
released or proper identification given before the method can be applied.
I hope this is just some GTE/Verizon glitch and not someone behind the
scenes trying to help MDs cover-up their massive obstetric crimes.

Which reminds me: As always, I am in favor of pardons in advance for MDs.
MDs are just academic prime cuts forced through this culture's most powerful
mental meatgrinder - medical school.
