Default Still producing milk after weaning

Hello everyone,
I started weaning my baby girl in August, bfing for the last time on
Sept 1. Since then, I occassionally notice milk leaking when I take a
shower. My dh has been out of the country for 11 months and returned
last week. When he would stimulate my nipples, milk would leak out.

Is this normal so long after weaning? Two of my bfing books say that
milk production can last a month or so, but it's been over 5 months for me.
TIA

Yeah, it's normal. I know a few moms who could still feel the occasional
letdown or express a little fluid *years* after their last baby weaned.

I was producing milk if I squeezed looking for it, until I was about 2
months pregnant...my son had been weaned for about 5 months at the time...

The first time I weaned, I still had milk until partway through the next
pregnancy. The second time was three years ago (wow! can hardly believe that!)
and I can still get a drop or so on one side.

ya, me too. I stopped pumping when the baby was 8 months old. Now
she's 11 months old. I still have milk. Not letdowns but I still have
it. If she shows any interest in nursing at all again, I'm sure we'll
be back. I'm pregnant though! I don't know if that makes any diff
either way.

It's just under two months here, and I can still easily express a
little. Which is very handy if Luke has a cut or a sticky-looking eye.
