how to ween?????
That's what is supposed to happen Weaning is a gradual process and she
won't give up nursing just because she wants to eat real food. How old is she? "yas" wrote in message oups.com... You ARE weaning her . . . weaning refers to the whole process of going from all breastmilk to no breastmilk. The slower you do it the better for baby and for you. The World Health Organization recommends 2 full years of breastfeeding, and there are all kinds of reasons why this is a good idea. Unless you have a reason you have not shared with us why you MUST stop nursing her it would be better if instead of stopping entirely you set some limits that you are comfortable with. Depending on her age that might be putting an end to nursing at night, nursing only at meal times, nursing only for specific amounts of time, not nursing in public, only nursing for naps and bedtime . . . it depends on her age and on what both of you want. BTW she should be nursing before her solids if she's still less than a year old. Please do let us know how old she is! Leslie |
