Default Wow, BIG weight gain for 2-weeker!

Hi all,

I took DD to her 2-week WBV this week and found out she's gone from 7
pounds, 9 oz. at birth to 9 pounds, 8.5 oz. by day 17! She's 22 inches long
(same as at her birth) and the doctor said she was "very symmetrical," in
that her body measurements are now all in the 95th percentile for her age.
The doctor also pronounced her "very strong and alert."

This was all especially great news since DD had a bit of a bumpy landing
when she came into the world. Heavy meconium caused her to be intubated 3
times at delivery, and her 1-minute apgar score was a crappy 4. (Her
5-minute apgar was 7, and 10-minute was a much-better 9 ... but still, she
was pretty listless when she first popped out.)

I'm assuming her weight gain will level off a bit, lest she weigh 47 pounds
by the time she turns 1. ;-)
