Heh. Well, I like two-piece suits because of ease of going to the potty.
My 2 yr old does not like it when I have to pull down the whole bathing
suit, she likes just taking off the bottom, especially when it is wet.

Although most of the time, my kids wear those SPF 50 two piece shirt and
short swim outfits.

Yeah, lots of toddler girls wear swim diapers and nothing else.

I have seen some tiny little girls in tiny little bikini style tops -- not
just
a two piece with a tank like top, but two little patches of fabric
floating around on their chest somewhere with nothing to hold
them in place. ;-) I'll admit that I think it looks a little funny.

No. Anyone who wears skimpy clothing in that context
is presenting a sexually charged image, regardless of their
intent, because of the prevailing use and interpretation of
such attire. Their intent is irrelevant, because neither
I nor my children are privy to their intent.

But people are capable of intelligent interpretation or,
better yet, abstaining from interpreting altogther. Looking
at the top that you posted and considering that a "sexually
charged image" is not, imo, intelligent interpretation.

I have been lurking and have a quick comment. Sorry to butt in

If skimpy clothing does not present a sexually charged image,
why do exotic dancers not wear long pants and turtleneck
sweaters? Or do you deny that Hooters restaurants have
quite a reputation for sexy wait staff because they wear
micro mini skirts and plunging necklines? If clothing choice
sends no message, then I must wonder why prostitutes
consistently wear revealing clothing when searching for work.
I am not saying that anyone who wears skimpy clothing is a
prostitute, nor should be assumed as being such, this is just an
example of why I think that it is a fact of our culture that
clothing
choice does send a message, whether or not a particular individual
refuses to recognize the message.
