Isn't anemia a really simple blood test; a fingertip prick as opposed
to drawing a vial of blood? I think a single drop goes into a
solution and how far it sinks indicates how much iron is in it --
something like that. Could be done right there in the doctor's
office for instant (and cheap!) results.

I'm remembering this from when I used to be allowed to give blood
and they did an anemia test before approving a donor. (Now they won't
take my blood because I spent too much time in Europe.....any more donor
restrictions and they'll run out of donors.)

Yes, thankyou for reminding me. DS has had blood tests done that have
said that his blood iron level is fine.
