American Party to Sponsor Public Protest Against Social Services

Louisville, CO -- September 13, 2003 -- Children are regularly taken
from families across Colorado based on nothing more than the opinion
of a social worker. Families are torn apart and they have nowhere to
turn for justice - or to have their stories heard.

The American Party of Colorado has entered this public issue with the
demand for the creation of an independent civilian review board. This
board would have the power to investigate and punish abuse of power
and acts of negligence by social workers in the State of Colorado.

According to the American Party chairman, Mr. Robert Teesdale, "Social
Services files malicious Dependency and Neglect petitions. They refuse
to discipline their staff even when gross negligence by them results
in injury or death to a child.

"They lie and conceal in order to entrap people into making
life-altering decisions out of fear and desperation. And the pain and
sorrow of families who have been destroyed by Social Services is
overwhelming and unacceptable.

"They are complerely terrified and totally alone. There is no one to
hear their story. It's time for the People to listen."

Scheduled for 10:00AM on Wednesday, September 24th in front of the
Main Street, Louisville office of Boulder County Social Services -
best known as the office responsible for overseeing the case of the
murdered Tanner Dowler - the public rally and protest will include the
American Party and members of the Tyranny Response Team, Parents with
Rights, and other organizations.
