Sickening O'Rielly Factor - Tommy Thompson broadcast
O'Rielly tends to be a pretty fair and reasonable guy but did anyone see
that absolutely sickening anti father propaganda broadcast this evening on The Factor where Tommy Thompson is interviewed about Dead Beat Dads? How can O'Rielly be that misinformed to repeatedly state that the system is stacked in favor of fathers that do not pay and that hardly any fathers are thrown in jail for child support. This was a complete so far beyond the mark propaganda broadcast with completely inaccurate and false information about fathers being presented it was just astonishing and shocking where I am at loss. If anyone is reading this please catch the 11pm broadcast and be sure to send in your letters in of enlightenment. |

If anyone is reading this please catch the 11pm broadcast and be sure to send in your letters in of enlightenment. I used to watch Bill O'Reilly's Fox show a while back. I liked it because his viewpoint was similar to mine, and I'd like watching him tear into his guests. But one night I decided to watch his show from the guest's point-of-view, and I realized that he wasn't some high-and-mighty watchdog the media drums him up to be. He is nothing but a paid Fox News *entertainer* - much like Rush Limbaugh, et al. If you ever watch how he operates his show, if the guest has opposing views (which is almost always the case), O'Reilly will always cut them off when they are talking, he belittles them, etc. It's nothing more than an hour-long sitcom, trying to get ratings. So, if he were to pony-up and profess the true backdoor goings-on with child support, his ratings would plummet, sponsors would look elsewhere, and the show would eventually crumble. Its all about the money, not the truth. Kind of like the government. |

Kind of like the government. == And like Donahue who claimed to present all sides of an issue but failed to have a father on the panel when discussing the Florida law that requires mothers to publicly name potential fathers prior to placing a child for adoption. He had a mother and her caseworker but "the other side" was presented by the legislator who wrote the bill and his position was that the law was necessary so dads couldn't come back later and snatch a child from its adoptive parents. I don't even think it occurred to Donahue that fathers had a side in this issue--he really thought he had it covered. Yet, these morons and others of the O'Reilly/Donahue ilk are paid millions. How'd that happen? == == |

Pretty much a Jerry Springer type show now, sans the chair throwing. Anyone know where to find the ratings for cable shows? I'd like to see how well his show is doing now. He used to brag constantly about how highly rated his show was, but I don't hear much of that now. Not that I watch his show that often anymore, anyways. I think it still wins its timeslot for cable. I missed his show last night and wanted to see if any fathers set him straight in the email section of the program. Did anyone see the end of last nights show? |
