The problem with that, I seem to find, is that it would have to go down
about 3 or so steps. That would make the gate quite a bit lower, even from
the top part that just had the metal railing part.
Doing this seems to cause a concern (for me) of making the gate seem shorer.


I meant a few steps down from where the wall starts so that nobody can climb
over it from the weird side railing thing.
