Default FAO Ericka - water toxicity?

I'm pretty sure you were the one who posted some stuff about water toxicity
in infants sometime last year. The question of feeding water to babies
has come up a couple of times on a different board that I read, and I can't
find any cites on the issue through Google.

If I'm misremembering, I must confess to them all that I'm a space cadet. ;-)
Do you remember any of this? Can you tell me if I'm making it all up or not?

TIA,

Liz

see if I can find my earlier posts...here's one with lots of details:

Basically, I'd avoid any significant (more than a few sips) water
consumption before six months of age, and watch it up until 9 months
to a year, depending on what the infant is eating/drinking otherwise.
You're not likely to see major problems unless you're actually
replacing some feedings with water, but even just a few ounces
a few times a day can pose a problem.

Best wishes,
Ericka
