Once again...
"Anne Rogers" wrote in message ... awww, congratulations Debbie, you had me wondering yesterday, but you say you only found out today, how bizarre! yes, you can get pain on implantation, but I thought implantation was closer to 10 days after ovulation, which is how an implantation bleed can be taken for an early period and the pregnancy be dated almost 28 days out. Again, the earliest sickness is usually felt is 10 days, so I'd guess ovulation more like day 17. I expect your planning to have scans, so that will tell you more. Thanks: I'm now wondering what I wrote yesterday to make you think that! I thought I'd read somewhere that implantation is about 5 days after fertilizing. I'll go and see if I can find where I read it. It could well be wrong anyway! They do standard dating scans here, but last time the date they gave me I knew was still too early, so I was wondering whether just to alter my lmp date for them to save them the trouble! Debbie |

"Joy" wrote in message oups.com... On Oct 6, 5:16 am, "Welches" wrote: I'm pregnant. Congratulations!!! I'm trying to work out when I ovulated. My cycles are usually between 29 and 36+ days, usually towards the later end. My temperature rise was on day 21, I had what felt like really bad period pain on day 25, started feeling sick on day 27, and got a (strong) +ve test today-day 35. Can you get implantation pain? Or was it just that I was ill or something? I'm guessing I ovulated about day 20, which would go with implanting on day 25, which is why I wondered. My brain isn't working this morning, so I can't help you here, but I had implantation pain with my third. Debbie (hoping #3 doesn't make her as sick for as long as #1 and #2 did) I hope not, too! Congratulations, Debbie! I'm happy to see your announcement. Thank you! I'd never heard of implantation pain before, but I had really severe pain for a couple of hours- so it made me wonder whether such a thing existed. Obviously it does! Debbie |

Debbie (hoping #3 doesn't make her as sick for as long as #1 and #2 did) Congratulations! That's fabulous! You sound a bit like I was with Xander (only it was a very weird cycle--ovulated twice in one month, two weeks apart--which is how we ended up pg--ovulated a few days after I was due to start my period, so we thought it was ok to go unprotected.). Ovulated the second time on day 39, had cramping and pain (thought I was starting) on day 44, sick as a dog by day 46. Had a Dr. appointment on day 46 for my annual exam--she did the pee test (which I had been doing for a week by this time cause I still hadn't had a period--I'm a regular as clockwork 35 dayer), then the pelvic, and told me she was 99.9999% sure that I was *not* pg. When I asked if maybe it was just too early to tell via urine, she repeated the 99.9999% sure thing. Had a strong positive test 11 dpo (4 days later on day 50). He's now 5 years old! :-) Thank you! Did you go back and tell the dr. that she was 99.9999% wrong? Just think, you could have had twins 2 weeks apart in gestational age. I bet the doctors wouldn't have beleieved that either! Seeing your post reminded me that I've a friend who's pregnant who likes the name Xander for a boy, but she said that I was the first positive comment she'd had on the name. I rather like it actually, but her family were saying that he'd get so much stick with it. Can I ask if you've had any negative comments, particularly after birth, and particularly teasing from other children as that's what her family were claiming would happen? Cheers: Debbie |

I bet the doctors wouldn't have beleieved that either! Yep--I did tell her, to which she asked if I needed a referral to have it "taken care of". To which I replied, "No thank you, we're fairly happy. Oh, and you're fired." I *think* the pg hormones if I had gotten pg with the first ovulation, would have prevented the second ovulation. ;-) Seeing your post reminded me that I've a friend who's pregnant who likes the name Xander for a boy, but she said that I was the first positive comment she'd had on the name. Cheers: Debbie Everyone has always had positive comments with the exception of one aunt and uncle who were telling us we should spell it Zander because they knew a Xander who was a snobby brat. Well, since Xander is short for Alexander (which he mostly goes by), it just made sense to spell it with the "x". We hadn't actually planned on calling him Xander (just Alexander), but it just ended up fitting and sticking by about 3 months of age. I'm not sure what responses would have been if he had just been Xander. The kids don't seem to care--the other Alexanders all seem to go by Alex or Alec or AJ or the like. So Alexander appreciates the fact that he's not Alex S. Sharalyn mom to Alexander James (9/21/01) |

Sometimes it can take a couple of days for your temperature to rise. Do you have any big dips on your chart a day or two before your temperature rise? |

Debbie Congrats. Implantation is typically 7-10 days after ovulation however for some women it can happen earlier. It is possible for it to be only five days. If implantation is 7-10 days then I guess I ovulate some time before the temperature rise, on the basis I was feeling sick 6 days after the rise! No point thinking you can get symptoms before then! Sometimes it can take a couple of days for your temperature to rise. Do you have any big dips on your chart a day or two before your temperature rise? I've no dips. It's not a smooth line but it only varies for 0.1degC either side of the line. Thanks: Debbie |
