Default q about stomach bug and pg

There is a bad stomach bug (vomiting and diarrhoea) going around this town
atm. Since just about everybody I know has had it, I'm guessing that we
probably won't escape (esp.since I seem to catch every bug that comes
along). Last time we got it I was still bf DD so she never came down with
it ... I'm also dreading her getting the bug.
I know to try and keep hydrated and I know only to take in a small amount of
clear liquid at a time, but does anyone have any other tips.
I figure that the baby should be OK so long as there is no high temps or bad
dehydration ... that's right isn't it??

Amanda - just trying to be prepared.

I had a bad bug with Lewis and this time. Just eat and drink what you can.
Everything'll be fine.

I got a stomach bug this time around. I couldn't eat much more than
crackers, but I was able to keep myself hydrated with liquids. It
lasted a day, with no bad effects.

That's right.
I just finished catching my 2nd bout of gastro-enteritis and ended up
going to the ER for the second time. NOT nice. And it takes a team of
wild horses to make me go to a hospital.
Both times I was only able to take in water and even that was getting
thrown up within minutes. So they had to push a couple of bags of fluid
into me and give me an anti emetic. The second time they gave me a WAY
better anti emetic but it made into a total zombie. Thank goodness my
husband was able to stay home with our dear little toddler for a day.
So uh....yeah...avoid that bug with as much soap as possible!

It must be a world wide thing. I had to work all day yesterday as we had 3

I hope it passes you by.

Thanks... it will definitely take time before I'm 100%, but I am
feeling better as each day passes.
Kind of bummed I'm not up to being out and about in this nice weather,
though.

I don't know where you are but I woke up with this exact same thing
this morning. (I'm in NC) yuck!

I'm feeling a bit better after I had a nap but still feel pretty
crappy.

Feel better soon
(I'm in Brisbane Australia so maybe the bug has been catching aeroplanes!)
