I've been following this newsgroup for quite a few months. Could someone
please define the following acronyms for me?

DS
DD
DH
any others I am forgetting.

I'm a smart guy, you'd think I could figure it out. Best I can do is I
think that the "H" in "DH" is "Husband".

Thanks

first d is for 'dear' or 'darn'
second is 'son' 'daughter' 'husband'

If you're that smart, you'd have googled it and found out...

For the less common acronyms, you can use this URL

http://www.acronymfinder.com/

Type in the abbrieviation and it will come up with something close
that helps if it doesn't have the exact one you saw.

I've seen "DP" for "dear partner" and such (though when I see "DP" I think
"displaced person," heh).

Have definitely never seen "dear ex," though! : )

Oh yes, there's loads more. Just the ones that pop to mind:
SO = significant other
BF = boyfriend
GF = girlfriend
DW = dear/darn wife
STBX = soon-to-be-ex
OS = older son
YS = younger son (both also work with daughter)

I don't think I've seen any other acronyms with 'ex' though..

I've seen DD/5 or DS9, which mean "dear daughter - 5 years old"
and "dear son - 9 years old".
