Default endless bleeding with IUD?

I got my Mirena put in in August, and I've either been spotting or full on
bleeding with cramps ever since. My doc says give it time, but I'm getting
sick of this!

I was told 6 months for bleeding, but only a few days for cramps, so sounds
like you've been cramping for a long time and any bleeding should only be
really light. If it really bothers you then you could have it taken out, but
the advice I was give was stick with it for 6 months and only then if you
still dislike it take have it taken out, which seemed fairly sensible.

I think I bled for about two months after mine was put in, sometimes
with cramping. Wish I could be more helpful. (THough, once the
bleeding stopped it was all pretty great.)
