I did it - my baby is a banana-eater.
DS had a little banana yesterday. I mushed it up, put him in his high
chair and DH gave him a little. He appeared to get tired of it quickly and got a little fussy. It turned out that he just wanted out of the high chair. After I got him out of the chair and on to my lap, he was lunging at the bowl! LOL! He did quite well, I think. It really wasn't even terribly messy - most of what went in, stayed in, and went down. We figured out pretty quickly that he wanted to help put the spoon in his mouth. Once we got that going, the banana disappeared quickly. He tried to chew on the spoon, rather than put his lips around it to pull the banana off, but I'm sure he'll figure it out soon. He hasn't pooped since the banana and I'm waiting to see what will happen. =) He's normally a once-every-four-days pooper, but who knows what we'll happen now that he's no longer exclusively BF (*snif*, *snif*).
