Default Bromocriptine question?

Hi all:

I haven't posted here before, so forgive the improper introduction,
but I wondered if anyone has experience with Parlodel (Bromocriptine).

I had to take 2.5mg parlodel in order to ovulate & conceive my
daughter, who is now just over 9 months old (I only took it for a
month, so it worked just fine!) I have no plans to wean her at any
specific time but I don't have my period back yet...and I don't really
expect to unless I go back on the parlodel. But I don't want to wean
my daughter just to be able to get pregnant again, and I'm thinking
ahead to baby #2. I asked my OB what I might do if, theoretically, I
wanted to get pregnant again before my baby is weaned and I don't
ovulate again. He said it would be safe for me to take the
bromocriptine while still nursing. But from everything I've read, the
parlodel is contra-indicated while breastfeeding as it can dry up
one's milk supply (and I assume has unknown effects on the nursing
baby). ???

Anyone out there have experience with high prolactin levels and
conceiving another baby while still nursing a baby over a year old?

(For what it's worth, I've never had supply problems...just the
opposite, in fact. I can pretty easily pump 6-8 oz. in the morning,
maybe a little less if I do it at night but I don't often pump 'cause
I'm home with her. She gets a bottle maybe twice a month, if that.)

Thanks...

Becky
