Child of America

Child of America is a not for profit foundation dedicated to supporting parents dealing with custody issues that cross international boundaries. We offer support - financial, emotional, spiritual, logistic and educational - for all those who are dealing with the complicated and sometimes confusing tangle of emotions, governments, and custody issues these types of cases involve. We are holding our first 50/50 fundraiser raffle with a drawing to be held on July 4, 2007! Please visit us at http://www.childofamerica.org to enter, and please support us if you are able. Thanks in advance! Take a hike! "We believe that all families benefit from having two active and involved parents who care deeply for their children." Translation: We believe that all fathers should be forced to pay the mother free cash because she made the sole choice to bear children. You could not possibly be more wrong if you tried. Child of America was founded by a loving and caring father who, after having paid child support that was not being used to support his children, was faced with the prospect of losing them entirely when the mother decided to seek full custody in order to move to China, a non- Hague country, and keep the gravy train rolling in. Mounting a legal battle against this injustice, in the face of gender bias, her manipulation of the court system (she was a lawyer) and outrageous legal costs, this person learned a great deal about the varieties of information and services available to fathers in this difficult circumstance, and decided to share that data with fathers everywhere who might need it. A vast majority of Child of America's services go to fathers, simply because they are primarily the ones found in this sort of circumstance, but they do not limit their help to anyone. The message that children benefit from loving and committed parents is one basic to the Christian ideals C of A was founded on, and in no way suggestive that custody support laws do not require a thorough overhaul. In fact, C of A is currently involved in custody law review in twelve states, Massachusetts, included. Perhaps you are bitter due to your own circumstances. Perhaps you are blind to the concept that their are fathers in this world better suited to raising children than the women who bore them. Perhaps you do not care if American children are forced by law and family circumstance to grow up half a world away from one of their parents. Whatever the reason, your bile is misplaced, and I would suggest you get some help with your anger issues. Peace. |

Tell me that you support 50/50 parental custody by default with NO MONEY changing hands, and I will recant my statement. |
