Didn't have enough room but I don't like those silly plastic things they give you on the plane anyway. Me, I like a *real* knife. The plastic ones are, however, so much easier to use on the plane.....travelling as you do, without handcuffs.... Cele LOL Then again I could twist your reference and wonder if he's a bit kinky. "Ms Louise Clayton" wrote in message ... Hi I just joined the group and wondered are there any singles from Australia? I live in NSW Australia with teenage kids. Like to learn more about life for singles in other countries as well. Chloe Hi, i just found this group as well. I have recently become a single parent, my wife passed away 6 weeks ago from cancer barstard of a disease. We have been offered help by councellors from the kids high school but so far i don't think we have needed it. The kids, 2 girls and a boy, 13, 12 and 10 are doing really well, better than me i think. I draw most of my strength from them. It's going to be very different bringing up teenage kids as a single parent i'd imagine but it seems looking around this group that plenty of people do it. Sid. |

I'm very sorry for your family's loss. Your kids may benefit from the counseling even if they don't think they will. It's just another avenue for them. Are there any groups of bereaved students? I know at my children's school they have a group of children of divorce who meet every fortnight or so. Maybe they do for children who lose a parent as well. I hope that you, too, find support in your community. Peace. lm |

. I have recently become a single parent,
my wife passed away 6 weeks ago from cancer sorry for your loss. We have been offered help by councellors from the kids high school but so far i don't think we have needed it. The kids, 2 girls and a boy, 13, 12 and 10 are doing really well, better than me i think Some people think counseling cures all. It cures nothing but can help. In any case 6 weeks is WAY too soon for you to assume anyone is doing well. I know this from experience. It gets worse before it gets better. Sorry to bear the bad news, just don't want you to think something is wrong when it really starts to hurt. Six weeks the numbness has barely worn off. "Sid" wrote in message Hi, i just found this group as well. I have recently become a single parent, Welcome Sid. When I became a singleparent this was the only place I found that I could swap notes with other single fathers. Sometimes it helped just to know they were out there.
