Solids revert
My DS is 8.5 months and for a while there, we were doing great on
solids. He was eating all the veggies I could put in front of him. I made some homemade ones to supplement the 4 kinds of jarred ones. He then had a solids strike for about a week. Couldn't get anything, even cereal, into him. Then he started again with the cereals and the fruits. I also gave him some soggy cheerios. Fine. The past week or so, he only wants to now eat the cereal+BM. I can't get fruits or veggies into him. He'll take some veggie/fruit puffs or cheerios, but often nothing else. I've tried more table food to see if that's the prob. I give him stuff in front of him, JIC its an independent thing...nope. He scrunches up his face if its not cereal, or pureed jarred baby food (sometimes he'll take it, other times nope). I've thrown out so much jarred and homemade stuff. Is this just another phase?? TIA, maureen |

TIA, maureen It could be just a phase. My son, 15 months, hardly eats any food at all, except at dinner, he'll have about 10 teaspoons of whatever we're having (usually veges and some kind of meat, or spaghetti). When he is sick or getting sick he is even worse, and will only breastfeed. He has never been keen on breakfast. I say just keep attempting at the usual times, and the usual things, and don't force the issue... there is no point. Good luck! Jo -- Woman, Wife, Mother, Midwife |
