Default Adoption Breastfeeding

I have a friend who is adopting a newborn in March. She wants to
breastfeed and it will be her first breastfeeding experience.

Do any of you know anyone who has successfully breastfed an adopted
baby? Any support sites? Tips?

Thanks,
Misti

I recently met a woman who breastfed all three of her adopted children.
And she had never given birth herself.

There was a prescription drug she took which helped get it started, and
then she pumped A LOT to get milk production.... and her third is
solely breastfed, too (the first one at least was combifed).

I'm afraid I dont' know more than that, but it *can* be done. I'm not
sure if it's JUST a matter of diligence and perserverance, or if she
was just lucky, or what.

There's definitely some stuff on Kellymom.com - try checking that out
for starters.

All the best,
