Wow! I watched a special on aging last nite that said that women who have
babies in their 40's have slower aging bodies allowing them to live longer.

How do you like them apples? Of course, genetics helps, along with no
smoking or stress and keeping the mind and body active. But, it's nice to
hear!

Sure hope so - I'm planning on seeing them both graduate from college!

I was sort of amused when I went recently to get an IUD (I'm 50 now) -
the midwife was looking at my chart, and said, "Dr. X says even if you
don't use any birth control at all, you have about the same chance of
getting pregnant as a woman in her 20s who's using birth control."

I said, "Considering that my youngest child isn't even 2, I think I'm
not going to count on that."

I have my IUD.

That's hysterical!! I am wondering if I am going to be able to have another
child. I do not want to have any birth control until I decide.

I am afraid I just may not be as fortunate with another one as I have been
so far....

It's nice to see that there are a few of us. I'm in poor shape (IMHO) for
my age, but I am hoping that afterwards I will have the ability to bounce
back.

If I can't be a good example, then I'll just have to be a
horrible warning.
