Default Local mom gave birth to quads - looks like two sets of twins

Our local paper just carried a story about a couple who just gave birth to
quads. Mom had in vitro but they ONLY transplanted two eggs, so the theory
is both eggs split, of course there are two boys and two girls. All their
weights were 4 pounds and over.\

I don't have ther references in front of me, but it appears that some
types of embryo manipulation lead to an increase in the rate of
identical twinning.
