Default If You Have Children On The Internet Please Read

As a middle school teacher in Orlando, Florida as well as a parent I
have had the opportunity to use the Internet as an incredible tool for
research as well as Entertainment. This past year the actions of my
students brought to my attention the dangers that many of them are
facing. After conversations with fellow teachers, parents and students
I was stunned at how little knowledge anyone had when it came to
Internet safety. The Facts:

1. Parents don't want anyone to tell them how to raise their children

2. Many parents suffer from a detailed lack of information when it
comes to Parental controls, MySpace, chat rooms and other aspects of
the modern Internet

3. Children dont want anyone to tell them how to behave on the
Internet(They know how to protect themsleves they say)

This summer I created a website to give parents the knowledge they want
without forcing a set of rules on them. My site CyberSafetynet was
designed to provide detailed answers to parent's most common questions
and provide a method by which parents can get answers to questions
specific to them.
If you want to learn more about:
Parental Controls
MySpace.com
Chat Rooms
Instant Messaging
Online Lingo
Internet Predators
Or any other specific question
Please visit our site at:
http://www.CyberSafetyNet.com/ProtectKids.html
Take care all.
-Mike
