it's another email virus...thank goodness for Norton...but it's very
frustrating as I am getting about twenty emails each hour. Grrr...

I hijacked this from another newsgroup so it is not my information but
someone elses post. I don't they post here though so I copied
it.............

The instructions for removal are he

For this to work, you need Norton Antivirus or possibly MacAfee Anitvirus
(both are good).

- or -

http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/defau...virus_k=100662

After you get rid of the virus, do the following:

1) Never, ever open an attachment that you weren't expecting.

2) At least monthly, get the latest patches to your system. You can do this
by going to Tools in Internet Explorer, and clicking on WIndows Update.

3) At least weekly, update your antivirus definitions. IF you don't have
Antivirus software, get it TODAY!

4) Read about security at http://www.cert.org/nav/index_main.html, as well
as the Norton and McAfee sites.

I keep blocking sender but apparently they are from different sources
because they keep on coming. Its driving me crazy!!! I know its a new virus
and haven't opened any, my server wont let me open any potential virus
attachments anyhow, but I just dont know how to stop them from coming.

Me too!!

I received 78 overnight, and the only reason that they stopped was because
my mailbox was full. I just deleted another 38. I have no idea what to
do!!

I just got 104! I blocked anything from Microsoft with the subject security
and that has seemed to work so far.

Dont they have the same title? Filter it based on the subject line and block
them that way.

"Sami" wrote They all have different titles and
email addresses. There are two forms
that the email comes in. One from Microsoft stating there is a new

security
patch and another as a bogus bounceback message saying undeliverable mail.

How do you know they are spam before you opne them? Do they have a
particular keyword you can filter out? I havent gotten any, I guess my ISP
is filtering. I also use POP peeper to chck my emails in the morning, it
seems all the spam I get is overnight. So I run the program to check and
then delete unwanted stuff before running my email client.
