LOL!! Yes, this is called placenta-brain. The hormones can do very weird
things to you. FWIW, I behave like that when I have PMS as well... It can
get a lot worse towards the end of pregnancy, but the good thing is that
it will be gone after delivery and you absolutely don't need to worry
about feeding your baby with the watering-can

I haven't stopped doing absent-minded things since I had my first baby
Gotta love it when you walk into a room, stop, and can't remember what you
went in there for.

Thanks so much for the laugh! I've done a few weird things, like putting
things in the fridge that aren't supposed to be there.

Hm, my DH does that too. Now what does that make him?

Oh man, it's called "mommy brain" and it only gets worse! My husband makes
fun of me all the time because I swear, I'm very intellectually limited
these days! There is actually some chemical reason for it, so don't feel
too bad about it!

Your brain shrinks while pregnant and it can take up to 5 years for it
to return to normal size. :-)

*SNORT* That's real life for me, much less with a placenta attached!
Remember what Bill Cosby said--all such thoughts settle in your butt, so
when you go to sit down, it is re-activated and you have an "OH!" moment.

I'm trying to think of something incredibly stupid that I've done since I've
been pregnant, but I can't remember anything. Placenta-induced amnesia, no
doubt.
