My 2 cents.

Babies often spit-up at times other than feeding. You can't live in the
kitchen.

They spit up at 6 months old? Color me educated. Mine never did.

I didn't catch who OP was. Since she did not mention age, I did not think
but that it was a newborn. Either hers still spits up or it's just drool
or she's talking about old stains.

For whatever reason, I had a mental image of eating spills despite the OP
clearly saying spit up. Mental block on my part.

Just curious if there's any certain product that'll help clean up any
left over residue once you get the majority of it up with paper towel/

I found a miracle carpet cleaner called "Spot Shot instant
professional carpet cleaner". It comes in a spray can. After you lift
up the stuff from the carpet, soak the area liberally with this, rub
it with a rag and dunk the rag in hot water and wring it. Repeat the
rubbing and wringing 3-4 times. You won't even notice the stain. We
have beige carpets and you can't tell that anything happened. Some
carpet cleaners like Resolve leave the carpet pile brittle. This
product is really awesome. I bought a four pack from Sam's or Costco.
I have two kids who generally like to throw up in bed when they have a
cough. I use it a lot. I only used it on carpet so far. Never on
furniture. Some day I'll try it in my car upholstery.

NAYY.

#3 still does, and he's 6 months next week. he's never been a sicky baby,
but he does produce a bit, often some time after feeding too. He's got a
cold at present which doesn't help, but is still fully breastfed.

Yes, our 6 month old spits up. Just about a teaspoon's worth. He gets
burped all the time, sometimes he doesn't burp. We had him on milk
Similac at about 4 months after he stopped breastfeeding/mother
stopped producing, and then maybe a week or 2 later put him on Soy
Similac.

Just a quick note for your next baby: around 3-4
months is when mommy's milk supply regulates, which
means it produces as much as is removed. (Before
that, milk gets produced as much as possible as
long as milk gets removed.) This is when most
women *think* they no longer have enough milk
because they are no longer engorged or baby needs
to nurse more because of a growth spurt. But, if
mama perseveres, supply will be fine.

I feel more comfortable as a parent knowing my son is *not* drinking
milk meant for baby cow's (that's how i look at it, call me crazy and
no offense to any that give their babies dairy).

This is good. Breastmilk or formula should be
baby's primary food for the first 12 months.
Breastmilk and formula are complete foods for
baby. Cow's milk is merely one part of a
well-balanced diet.

i saw some threads that spit up is natural.

It depends. Pillbug rarely spit up. Rocky spit
up every time we burped him, so I stopped burping
him at a couple of months old.
