should people be able to vote at a younger age like 16?

please give me your feed back because My daughter who is 11 keeps
telling me that Kids like her should be able to vote and I need some
good reasons for why or why not she should be able to vote she and her
friends even made an unofficial petition and had the whole 6th grade
sign it. So I told her she needed more background information and view
points from the different political parties.
