Default Night terrors? 8 month old refuses to sleep

My wife has told me that during the night the baby starts screaming in
his sleep. She has to wake him to get him to stop. He always did seem
restless even when he did fall asleep. He had 2 hospital stays and
after the second one he was never the same (cant put him down etc.) As
he can sit up now and play he can be left for a few minutes but not
long. Is it possible such a young one has night terrors and keeps
waking up from them? Here is a link to my last thread. I am desperate
here.

As per some of you advice I set up a stereo in his room and I have some
great "chill" cds as well as the baby eisteins. I am going to start a
routine of being in the room with him, music playing with the lights
off and see If I can get him to go out. The problem is keeping him out,
hes up 5-6 times a night at least.

If he sleeps at all.

Anyone else have such a little guy with night terrors? BTW, he was in
the hospital for the rota (sp?) virus and then later a really bad
cought and he needed an oxygen tent.

Well hes terrified of something thats for sure. For some reason he just
looks around the room and starts screaming, this isnt like him. Yes hes
was colick, then high need/fussy but this isnt like him at all. Hes
literally terrified. Thats whys hes waking up as well. Used to be I
would put him in the bed with us and thats it but now he just bounces
around like a jumping jack crying. I never thought I would get even
less sleep at 8 months than 4 months and colick. He is going through a
developmental stage as well always movng his legs. I hope he gets over
this soon.
