Default Whittlestone breast expresser

Akk. I just KNOW there is someone on this newsgroup that is a distributor
and I just can't remember who. She does put a little something in her sig
line and I am too tired to google it right now.

However, I used to work in a store that sells it and I would strongly urge
you to find somewhere that does "pump trials" before you buy it as this pump
does not work for all mamas (me included) because it uses compression rather
than suction and provides very different nipple stimulation than the regular
suction pumps. That being said many women use it and get MUCH better
production than with a suction pump and find it a lot more comfortable. We
found that if you have never pumped before with any kind of pump, that this
pump was more likely to work for you. That's not to say that it won't/will
work for you if you have, but that improved the chances. From a cleaning
standpoint, IIRC there are a few more parts to take apart and there are foam
thingies that can't be boiled (due to melting) but overall it's supposed to
be a good pump, compares to a hospital grade (so therefore can replace baby
at breast and keep up supply). All this is only true if it works for you.
When I tried it I was not able to get a single drop out. Bear in mind that
I was used to a Purely Yours and my munchkin was 11 months old by then so
even my PY was having trouble getting much more than a couple of ounces per
session. YMMV.

Hi there

I am interested in purchasing a Whittlestone breast expresser, and I

wanted
to ask if anyone here has experience with this product, and if so, could

you
tell me what is good/bad about it and how it compares to other breast

pumps?

TIA

Emma

Emma,

I am the one who distributes them. I just started it very recently,
and I have been off the group lately working on my little store's
website.

2 or 3 months ago on this group somebody mentioned the Whittlestone
Expresser and explained how it massaged to express milk and I was very
excited by the idea because I had always been a really poor performer
for my PIS and it always hurt my nipples. So, after alot of hemming
and hawwing about not wanting to spend the money, I did spend it and
loved it. I got more milk from the very first try, but of course
YMMV.

I then decided to distribute the expresser because I loved it and it's
a new technology that I think alot of people will want, so it is a
good business move for me too.
