Default toileting trouble with my daughter

I don't think you can go by age. Some kids are just
flat out not able to be dry at night, and there's not a damn
thing you can do about it--not rewarding them, not putting
them in underwear, not waking them to go in the middle of
the night, nothing. You have to give periodic opportunities
in case the child is ready, but it will happen when it happens.
My first was not dry at night no matter what was tried until
he was eight years old. Eventually, he was just dry in the
morning and he stopped wearing pullups. It was a physiologic
process for him, not a behavioral issue he could be trained
out of, and our options were to wait patiently or allow
everyone to beat their heads against a brick wall. If L
is interested, you can do a couple trial runs in underwear,
but if the outcome is what you suspect, you just go back to
pullups until he's ready.

Best wishes,
Ericka

Thanks Ericka! I totally agree with you. I, myself, was a late one to train
at night. However, I was a very heavy sleeper!

Do
you wake Hunter, or does he wake on his own?

No he wakes on his own. He wakes up to go to the bathroom and then some,
lol. It was nice that he was dry but every time I got up to take him to the
bathroom my baby woke up so it was a bit of a drag in that respect.

He has been staying dry the past 5 mornings or so in his pull-up..

Yay!!

.. He does ask to stay in underwear!

Good luck. My Luke recently said he wanted to wear underwear and use the
potty. We tried for 10 days and he never once made it to the bathroom on
his own. He'd pee and then say he had to go pee and in the last four days
he quit even doing that and started to resist sitting and trying when we
asked (which was sometimes successful) so we talked about it and decided to
go back to diapers. He has to stay in diapers now until at least August
though because things are to busy and I'm not going to go back and forth a
thousand times.

Uggh I'm not even ready to start potty traning Caleb. He just turned 2 in
Feb and doesn't show signs of being ready. Of course, since Logan is potty
trained, every time he goes in there, Caleb will usually follow him.
Recently Logan has started asking Caleb many times during the day, "Caleb,
do you need to go potty?" Of course, Caleb always says, "yeah". Logan
yells, "Mommy, Caleb needs to go potty". LOL Ugghh a 4 year old trying to
train a 2 year old

Luke will be 3 in a couple weeks. I really thought he was ready. I think
he could do it but it was becoming stressful for him so we quit. When he
was naked he got it but he hates to be naked so that only worked for a
couple hours :-)

Hee. I wish ;-)
