Jan, if Rosalind Dalefield made a comment about why someone had died
would you believe her? She is a PhD toxicologist, and I think she is a
veterinarian as well.

Christine Maggiore and her husband, Robin Scovill, are challenging
the
Los Angeles County Coroner's finding that their three-year-old
daughter
Eliza Jane Scovill died from Aids-related pneumonia.

We interview pathologist Dr. Mohammed al-Bayati who has just
authored
a
report revealing that the child died of anaphylactic reaction to a
prescribed antibiotic, and we speak also Dr. Andrew Maniotis of the
University Illinois at Chicago.

For excellent analysis of al-Bayati's "work" see:

http://tinyurl.com/dam9v

especially this comment by a real pathologist:

A Google search reveals that he is a "pathologist-for-hire", figuring
in
many court cases where "alternative" science can get people off. He
was
involved in the Yurko case.

Peter Moran

Perhaps you should make it clear, Peter, that you are talking about
al-Bayati, not the person referred to by the immediately-preceding
words "real pathologist".

Perhaps he could tell us just *where* this search revealed the above?

It was al-Bayati who came up with the idea that the baby slaughtered
by Alan Yurko had really been killed by the doctor in the ER.

It was YOU who uses the word *slaughtered*, and YOU and others who
have continued to judge.

It was a court in Florida which recorded a verdict of manslaughter.
Except this time it was baby slaughter.

It was YOU who uses the word *slaughtered*, and YOU and others who have
continued to judge

[snip stupidity]

Just WHERE did anyone say you were *protecting* him ot it was some kind of

Just WHERE has anyone one said there was absolute safety in alternative??

Three Dead Children

For starters.

Why is it that these "health-care professionals" can be believed but
others can't?

Vaccination LIARS stick together, just like the *gang* members do here.

The toxicological causes of baby Yurko's death was
vaccine-and-medication
induced, an overload of drugs and antibiotics.
The child have been given high doses of sodium bicarbonate and heparin,
which cause cardiac arrest and internal bleeding and produce symptoms
similar to SBS.

[snip stupid tactics, similar to there is no such thing as no such thing

(I don't know why Jan had to bring amalgam into this, but I am still
waiting for some definition of "mercury amalgam" that isn't
nonsensical. An amalgam is an alloy of mercury with some other metal.
A "mercury amalgam" would be a mixture of mercury and mercury, and
would be useless for filling teeth unless you kept your head very
still to prevent slopping.)

Good please post a paper proving the safety of amalgams when
you can.
I doubt that any paper would ever satisfy you as to the "safety of
amalgams." I'm not even sure what you mean by the term.

ROTFLOL!!!!!

David also didn't know that the words mercury amalgam is used even on
Medline.

Of course they is. Consider the following factual statement: "Fools
who know no chemistry may talk about mercury amalgams, but real
scientists know that the term is a tautology".
See, it's easy to use the words "mercury amalgam" and still speak the
truth.

Hmmm, says Peter Bowditch who has NO chemistry education nr NO medical
training.

Peter Bowditch Nov 23 2004, 11:30 pm

There are no such things as "mercury amalgams". Only a person ignorant
of chemistry would use such a stupid term. Amalgams are alloys of
mercury with some other metal, and the idea of something forming an
alloy with itself is ridiculous. Please stop using this badge of
ignorance.

Peter Bowditch Nov 14 2004, 6:36 am

There is no such thing as "mercury amalgam". The expression makes no
sense

Words have meanings, and the word "amalgam" means an alloy of a metal
with mercury. Therefore a "mercury amalgam" is either an alloy
containing 50% of mercury mixed with 50% of mercury, or it is an
expression containing redundancy. In either case it demonstrates the
ignorance of the person using the expression. Please do not use it
again, lest people think that you are ignorant and resistant to
correction if that ignorance, and please use it as a filter which will
allow you to ignore "scientific" papers which use this meaningless
expression.

Peter Bowditch Feb 23, 8:58 am

As there is no such thing as "mercury amalgams", the rest of this
diatribe can be discarded for the bull**** it is.

Peter Bowditch Jul 2 2003, 10:34 pm

There are no such things as "mercury amalgams". People with minimal
education in chemistry and metallurgy know this. The expression
"mercury amalgam" has as much semantic content as "apple fruit" or
"prejudiced ...

Peter Bowditch Apr 27 2004, 9:22 am

There is no such thing as mercury amalgam. If anything fitting this
description was used to fill teeth it would spill out if you tilted
your head.

--
Peter Bowditch

The studies found that the amount of mercury excreted in the urine
was proprotional to the number and size of fillings in the victim's mouth.
Moreover many oral habits such as chewing gum, clenching or grinding greatly
increased the amount of mercury released and absorbed.

==

6. Amalgam Fillings Largest Source of Mercury by Far

Based on a number of studies in Sweden, the World Health Organization review
of
inorganic mercury in 1991 determined that mercury absorption is estimated to
be
approximately four times higher from amalgam fillings than from fish
consumption. Recent studies have confirmed this estimate and shown that the
amount absorbed can vary considerably from person to person.

7. Gold Crowns, Gum, Bruxism, Computer Monitors Increase Release of Mercury
Significantly

Gum chewing, bruxism (grinding of teeth), computer terminal exposure,
presence
of gold fillings or gold crowns (even if covering mercury fillings), teeth
brushing, braces and even chewing food cause the release of significantly
increased amounts of mercury from the fillings in one's teeth.

8. Cumulative Poison Builds Up in Organs

Mercury released from fillings builds up in the brain, kidneys, liver,
pituitary, adrenals and other parts of the body.

========

According to the World Health Organization the general sources of mercury in
the body a Breathed Air (.040 micrograms), Fish (2.34 micrograms),
Non-fish
food (.25 micrograms), Drinking-water .0035 micrograms), mercury vapor from
dental amalgams (3 to 17 micrograms).

*****The mercury vapor from dental amalgam
alone is a bigger source than all the other sources together.*******

A Repost

Mercury-amalgam dental fillings have never been subjected to the kind of
regulatory scrutiny and approval process demanded of all modern drugs and
medical devices to prove safety.

Until this day dentistry has used marketing, political influence, and
control
of regulatory boards at all levels to impose its self-serving economic view
that mercury-amalgam is completely safe. The science that proves safety is
still not forthcoming from the ADA, nor from dental schools, nor from
mercury-amalgam manufacturers.
Science has not been the driving force behind the ADA's public information
on
mercury release. When asked about the safety of mercury amalgam the response
one always heard previously, and can still hear today in many dental offices
is: "once set, the mercury becomes completely stable and locked up, it
doesn't
leak out". After it was unequivocally demonstrated that mercury vapor
continuously escapes from mercury-amalgam fillings the ADA repositioned
itself
and now claims: "the small amount of mercury released from amalgam
restorations, especially during placement and removal, has not been shown to
cause any adverse health effects."

Mercury escapes from amalgam and is taken up by the human as metallic vapor,
metallic vapor and ionic mercury dissolved in saliva, and as unknown mercury
species directly through the tooth pulp and root into the bloodstream.[3]
Ionic
mercury in saliva is converted to methylmercury.[4]

Mercury travels from amalgam fillings into the jaw, gut, liver, kidneys,
glands
and brain, crosses the placenta to the fetus, and is found in mother's
milk.[18] [19] [20] [21] [22]

WARNING TO PARENTS:

"SILVER" FILLINGS ARE REALLY 50% MERCURY!

THE AMERICAN DENTAL ASSOCIATION SAYS THEY ARE SAFE!
CONCERNED PARENTS SHOULD KNOW:

MERCURY has been eliminated from all other uses in the human body, including
vaccines, disinfectants, and other oral uses.

All other health care associations support full disclosure, while the
American
Dental Association hides its use of MERCURY.

The ADA receives money from MERCURY amalgam manufacturers through its Seal
of
Acceptance program, in contrast with the American Medical Association, which
rejected taking fees for product endorsements.

The ADA holds patents on amalgam (since expired), furthering its business
interests by the continued use of MERCURY in dentistry.

The ADA endorses pre-Civil War medicine, saying amalgam is justified because
its use began in 1850!

The ADA says MERCURY dental fillings are safe to use in children's teeth.

In 1997, MERCURY amalgam filling manufacturer Dentsply stated that MERCURY
amalgam fillings are "contraindicated" (meaning DO NOT USE) for children and
pregnant women.

The American Dental Association is still calling MERCURY amalgam fillings
"silver" and denies MERCURY fillings can ever be dangerous!

Federal and most state medical insurance programs only pay for MERCURY
fillings
because they are the least expensive, so poor people and poor children are
especially at risk.

U.S. Public Health Service: The largest component of amalgam is MERCURY.
ADA: Amalgam is "silver" fillings.

U.S. Public Health Service: For most people, the leading cause of MERCURY
toxicity is amalgam fillings, not fish.
ADA: You only get traces of MERCURY vapor in your body.

U S Public Health Service: MERCURY is a dangerous neuro-toxin; the MERCURY
in
amalgam goes to the brain, and to a fetus through the placenta.
ADA: MERCURY exposure is like having an "allergy" to dust or pollen!

American Medical Association: Don't take $$$ for endorsements.
ADA: Receives fees from MERCURY amalgam manufacturers while calling amalgam
"safe". For further information on this issue and links to recent press
coverage of the controversy with the ADA and the dangers of Mercury in
dentistry, please read the August 22 Page 1 article in the Chicago Tribune:

The *gang* has done all the usual name calling because this is all
*OUTSIDE*
of their belief system.

That a child who comes to the hospital with lungs full of pneumocystis
carinii and has a respiratory arrest and dies, has died of pneumocystis
pneumonia, is a *belief system*? Why yes, I guess it is. Maybe she
died of voodoo. Maybe she died of a microbe which nobody ever found in
her, like B19. One pulled out of a hat. One that doesn't cause symptoms
like hers. Maybe she died of a sudden and fatal allergic reaction to
the first dose of a drug she'd never had before.

Would all these be YOUR belief system? Apparently they are part of Dr.
Mohammed al-Bayati's belief system. A doofus, as I said.

SBH

The above proves you wrong.

You don't need to have a license for "projects". What is his license to
practice as a professional in his state, he needs a license.
You don't need a license in academic research because you are not
responsible to anybodies health.
Understand this. He is not a licensed pathologist under any definition of
licensure by any given state.

Robert,

In ALL of this projects the United Stated considered him to be both a
toxicologist AND a PATHOLOGIST!

But not a forensic pathologist. Try reading this:

What is a forensic pathologist?
Forensic pathology is a specialized area of pathology. The forensic
pathologist performs autopsies to determine the cause and manner of
death in situations falling under the jurisdiction of the local medical
examiner or coroner. These situations include, however, are not limited
to violent deaths such as homicides, accidents, and suicides. Other
categories are suspicious deaths, sudden and expected deaths, deaths in
children and infants, prisoners, persons under the care of an
institution, situations where illicit drugs or alcohol may have
contributed to the death, deaths occurring during or in close proximity
to a surgical procedure, deaths in individuals not under the care of a
physician or when the private physician is unable or unwilling to
certify the death certificate, and deaths when there is suspicion of a
public health threat. Many persons fail to realize that approximately
half of the deaths examined by the forensic pathologist are natural
deaths occurring in the absence of injury. The forensic pathologist is
also an expert witness in the court of law, testifying in a variety of
civil and criminal cases involving death or injury.

http://www.forensiconline.com/generallink.htm#a9

A *FORENSIC PATHOLOGIST* is uniquely qualified to render an opinion on
the cause of death, moreso than any other discipline in pathology.

You may also want to see the nature of the training of the forensic
pathologist and compare it to al-Bayati's. There is NO comparison.

So are you seeking opinions from those that are not *organized medicine*?
Why present his *organized medical* credentials?
He has a Masters in Vet science and a PhD in toxicology right?

Regarding my own background, in the past six years I have written
approximately 80 medical reports in defense of parents whom I believed to
have been falsely accused of violent physical child abuse, largely

involving

charges of SBS. With few exceptions in these cases, I have observed a
troubling pattern of abandonment of the usual thoroughness one finds in
medical centers once suspicions of SBS were raised. In most cases that I
have reviewed, in my opinion, there have been varying degrees of

negligence

in working through differential diagnoses, sometimes missing the most
obvious of alternate non-traumatic causes.

After autopsy? What does SBS have to do with that case of pneumonia?

In the present case of the autopsy report on Eliza Jane Scovill, in

my

It has nothing to do with SBS.

opinion, there is a similar pattern; that is, diagnostic assumptions have
been made based on superficial evaluation with little if any attempt to
investigate other possible causes of the child's three-week illness
culminating in death.

An autopsy is superficial?

Regarding Dr. Al-Bayati, I consider him to be a master craftsman in

a

broad field of medical expertise.

There is no such thing as a master of a broad field of medical expertise.
What in the world does that mean?
There is no such thing as a general expert. Expertise is limiting by
nature.

His workups are exhaustive and meticulous,

yet plainly written so as to be accessible to reasonably educated
non-medical people. He makes no statements or claims that he does not
document in the medical literature.

He has no hands on experience or expertise as far as I can tell. What does
he do daily? Toxicology?

In the case of Eliza Jane Scovill, I first reviewed the autopsy
report, which did in fact give rise to personal concerns and doubts.
However, after going through Dr. Al-Bayati's report point-by-point, he
put
all doubts to rest. There is no question in my mind that his report
accurately describes the true causes in the death of Eliza Jane Scovill.

If he reviewed it then why isn't it he who is called? I think the answer
is
obvious why that isn't the case.

Comments from Dr. Andrew Maniotis
Dr. Maniotis is a Professor of Pathology and Program Director in the Cell
and Developmental Biology of Cancer at the University of Illinois at
Chicago.

November 21st 2005

This is a PhD who works for the Department of Pathology and is a Professor
of Pathology but is not a pathologist who is an MD and determines cause of
death. These are specialized PhD's who do research within a narrow branch
of
research.
They have no medical training and no clinical or anatomical pathology
training.
They can not be medical directors of any clinical laboratory by federal or
state law.
They are great for very specific topics that pertain to their area of
study.
You have to ask him if he considers himself a pathologist.
