the weight starts to come off!

It's happened twice now, have baby, lose significant weight in first week
then nothing until after 1st birthday. I've breastfed both beyond the first
birthday, so it doesn't really make sense, very little has change in terms
of breastfeeding this time since about 11 months yet since 12 months instead
of being the same weight each week I am slowly shedding the pounds, with no
effort. Quite different to earlier in the year when I would make a big
effort for a month and absolutely nothing would happen.

I'm now nicely sat towards the upper end of healthy weight for my height, so
ideally I would loose a bit more, as I definitely couldn't tick the large
frame box. I was 147 pounds this morning and to be consistently under 140
would be fab.

We are on holiday in 3 weeks time so I will probably have to be careful then
not to put it all back on! It can be easy to do that if you eat every meal
out, which we will do as we'll be in a hotel, also we are holidaying in
Seattle, which brings up the whole US portions are bigger issue, but now
it's starting to happen, I'm not going to let a weeks holiday mess it up!

Hey, I'll be in Seattle in 3 weeks too! Only it's not that far from where I
live (portland, OR). I've been struggling with the extra weight too, but I
gained over 50 with this last pregnancy. Even with exercise and diligent
eating, the weight hasn't budged, but we're only at 7 months post partum...

I suppose that means you'll be out of Oregon from the 3rd through the
6th?

*wave from Seattle* Hope your holiday is wonderful -- perhaps we could
have coffee or something? Email me if you feel like it (it's AOL rather
than mouse-potato). If your schedule is already jammed, no big deal!

yet another person who lives in Seattle!

it's a visit prior to moving, so better if we do coffee in the autumn!

Sounds good -- trying to visit with all kids in tow might be hectic
anyway ;-)
