What about painting?
we painted the nursey last week-end, I was so nervous that the fumes
would hurt the baby, I made my husband open the window, and shut the door with a blanket under the door, while I hid down stairs... actually there were no fumes at all, you could just smell a little only if you walked in the room its self...i was dying to see how it was coming along so i peeked a few times ( holding my breath ) I also slept with my bedroom window opened just a few inches then covered with the eletric blanket.. My question is; is it ok to be around paint? or am I over reacting??? we have a lot of rooms that need painted, we live in a brand new house and its still the flat white that they used when building the home,,,( gets very dirty ) I was lucky to get one room painted so I highly doubt if the others will get done in the near future anyhow, but i was still wondering..... I guess =91=91us=92=92 painting anything i.e. dressers, and just small things would be out of the question, right? Thanks in advance...Christine |

What about painting?
I painted the nurseries all through my pregnancies. No problems. As long as
the room is well ventilated and you don't over work yourself, there is usually nothing to worry about. Most paints that are used these days don't have too much of a smell. Unless you are using oil based paints. -- Sue (mom to three girls) I'm Just a Raggedy Ann in a Barbie Doll World... Everyone (plus a friend of ours who is a MW) told DH the same thing, as long as the room was well ventilated there was no problem at all. I wanted this gal I met to come and do the nursery. Her work is awesome! But no luck, my tightwad DH is a "if I can do it myself" type of man. Crystal 37 weeks 5 days & counting!! What about painting?
I think you are definately over reacting! After weeks of hounding my
husband to paint the nursery (due to the physical nature of it all) I finally did it! Latex paints are fine, just avoid oil based and stains. I had a very healthy baby!
