Default 5th Disease

How long can the 5th disease (slap cheeks) last in a very young child?
Grandson has been diagnosed with it at 20 months of age. Thanks for any
info. on length of time this disease can last. CG

5th disease? Did he has 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th diseases too? Actually, they
do exist. They are just old names for childhood illnesses with rashes. I
think they include measles, rubella and scarlet fever.

So the rashes last from a couple of weeks to as much as 5 or 6 weeks. Your
grandson might be more sensitive to the soon for a few months.
