Green and mucousy
Laurie says:
Have you tried an elimination diet at all? It *does* sound bit like an intolerance, specifically dairy. I just went off dairy yesterday to see what happens. Wow, is dairy ever hard to do without! (For me, anyway!) I find rice and soy milk to be fine alternatives, but I often have cottage cheese or yogurt as a snack, or a yogurt smoothie for lunch, and I really dislike scrambled eggs without cheese in them. :-( Quinn doesn't have any other symptoms besides the green, mucousy poop -- no fussiness or bothersome gassiness or things like that. If dairy is the culprit, is there another good reason for me to go without? -- Alpha alphawave at earthlink dot net |

If dairy is the culprit, is there another good reason for me to go without? I cut out dairy in hopes it would clear up Caterpillar's eczema (which it didn't). She really didn't have any symptoms that seem connected to dairy other than the green mucousy poop, either. I've stuck with going without (although I can have a bite or two of ice cream, or some cheese now and then without bothering her) in hopes that she'll outgrow the reaction faster or be less likely to develop other sensitivities, but I'm not sure that's a scientific hope.
