Traditional I Baby Birth Mother:.Caucasian Birth Father's Race: Caucasian Due Date: 9/9/03 State: Texas Child's Gender: Boy Birth Father: unKnown, will terminate his rights through the courts. Medical Information: all medical information will be presented at match Birth Mother Substance Usage: NONE Additional Information: HIV NEGATIVE / HEP B NEGATIVE / ALCOHOL NEGATIVE / STREP B NEGATIVE BABY BOY WILL BE BORN WITH HEART CONDITION. THE RIGHT SIDE OF HIS HEART HAS NOT FORMED CORRECTLY. THIS IS CORRECTABLE BY SURGERY - 1 SURGERY WILL BE REQUIRED AT 6 MONTHS / THE NEXT SURGERY WILL BE REQUIRED AT 2 YEARS. VALVES ARE NOT FORMED. LEFT SIDE IS PERFECT. VALVES WILL NEVER BE 'NORMAL', HOWEVER, BABY'S LIFESPAN AND QUALITY OF LIFE ARE GREAT. BABY BOY WILL BE ON MEDS UNTIL 1ST SURGERY, BUT IN EVERY OTHER WAY WILL SEEM LIKE A NORMAL NEWBORN BABY BOY. WHEN HE IS OLDER, HE SHOULD NEVER PLAY COMPETITIVE SPORTS AS IT MAY BE TOO EXCESSIVE FOR HIS HEART. HE WILL BE ABLE TO JUMP AND PLAY AND GO TO GYM CLASS AND BE LIKE EVERY OTHER NORMAL BOY, JUST NO COMPETITIVE SOCCER, BASEBALL, TRACK, FOOTBALL, HOCKEY, ETC. GOLF OR ANY SPORT THAT IS NOT EXCESSIVE WILL BE FINE. SURGERY SUCCESS RATE: 95%. WORSE CASE: HEART TRANSPLANT WHEN REACHING ADULTHOOD OR AS AN ADULT |
