Default LADIES! I need advice

Okay, my concerns are this: My wife and I are expecting our first
child. she is 2 &1/2 months pregnant. Now, the wife and I always had
a outstanding sex life. Okay, let me get to the point; she is 5'4" and
around 98 to 100 lbs. I happened to be "bigger than normal" when it
come to the "penis department" I am over 9". Now since I am new at
this, will there be a point during this pregnancy that my penis would
actually do harm? Right now we are still having a terrific sex life
but I am sure this will change as the pregnancy continues.

Please email me your response since I do not normally go to this
newsgroup.

Thanks,

Dave

Believe me, that baby is well protected. There is nothing you could do in
the course of normal, ordinary intercourse that would harm the baby.

You may find that your wife bleeds after sex - typically a little red
shortly after, or maybe a little brown a day or two later - because her
cervix is engorged with blood and 'friable' - meaning the capillaries are
easily broken. This is not indication of harm done. The closed, unripened
cervix is a tight knot of muscle - a tightly closed sphincter - 1 1/2"
thick when all is normal. The baby is cushioned within the chorion and the
amniotic sac, floating free in plenty of amniotic fluid. It's safe.

You may find that she begins to experience sex as a painful thing because of
dryness, plain old inexplicable discomfort, or utter and complete lack of
interest. These are all within the range of normal and do not reflect on you
or your general attractiveness in any way - they're hormonal and will
eventually resolve (and I think it's because the body, being pregnant, sees
no reason to continue being sexually receptive). Please do respect this as
much as you can. You may find that for pain/dryness, a heavy/thick
lubricant such as KY jelly is more comfortable for her than something like
Astroglide, or else invest in a higher quality stuff like Magnus or Pure
Silk. (Then again you might be one of the lucky ones whose wife continues to
enjoy sex throughout pregnancy. But not all women do.)

The only time during pregnancy you should not enjoy intercourse if you both
wish, is if the doctor tells you so for medical reasons (such as a
threatened miscarriage) or once the bag of waters ('membrane') has ruptured,
whether labor has begun or not. Barring those reasons, there's no reason
not to indulge in anything that both of you find mutually agreeable.

I'm going to need to see some photographic documentation before I can
give my qualified reply. 10x8 glossies will be fine.

Piggybacking on Dave, here-has anyone else had problems with sex early on? I
find I'm nauseous enough of the time that it really isn't at all appealing.
And, at some level, I am afraid of hurting the baby-"shaking something
loose" as it were, which doesn't help psychologically a bit. My husband's
being nice about it, but I'm starting to feel more than a bit guilty.

Sure. I'm never in the mood at the beginning when I have morning sickness.
I tell my husband I don't want to throw up on him. He just laughs and says
I can lean over - lol. Guys are lame

I had the complete opposite problem, which I don't hear a lot of people
talking about - when I got pregnant my libido increased (I was fortunate not
to have much in the way of morning sickness) and my husband's decreased.
He's the one who's freaked out by the little baby in there, and he thinks
somehow he's going to injure it. And I think he views my condition as
delicate and doesn't want to hurt me either, despite my insistence to the
contrary. So here I am, nearly in my 8th month, still having to take care of
myself... ;-)
