Okay, so the child isn't going to be spending the days with grandma and

then

is going to still need to be sent to another daycare during the day?

Same daycare he's in now. Where his brother goes, and has been going. It's
true.. ..grandma's not really going to be spending a huge portion of the day
with him, excepting weekends of course.

Perhaps I missed something - but why would he be spending a lot of time at
gradma's on the weekends?

Because Dad's contemplating going away to work planting trees
for three months with girlfriend to earn money during college break,
during which time 19 month old son would continue at his current daycare
and be with Grandma evenings and weekends.

Best wishes,
Ericka

Does the university have a career office? How about getting into the coop
program with the school but work locally - not out of town? Some businesses
now days have very good daycare for employees children.

OK, possibly I lost track, but I thought he was putting together a plan to stay
put for the summer?

I think the comments referred to the Plan A to go plant
trees ;-) It's gotten a little convoluted... ;-)

Best wishes,
Ericka

you are correct. Plan A is still on the forefront. (secure financial
situation). But I'm considering other options now too. It's come to my
attention that I *can* get a daysitter for my son at camp while I'm at work
(treeplanting). It's a matter of cost-benefit. And then, I wonder if this
situation would be, a) safe/good for him, b) any less shocking to his system
then Original Plan A. I mean, sure, *I'll* be around.. ..but completely
physically exhausted at the end of the work day.. ..I don't know if I'll
*want* to have him around when I'm at that point.. ..even tho I love him
immensely. He'd be in completely alien surroundings, with *maybe* a handful
of other kids around..

I'm unsure.. ..I have a month still, to figure this all out.

I must study for 2nd yr calculus now.. ..and suffer severe mental anguish.
Just cracking the book now.. ..have a week b/f the final. !
