Denial is very much a part of the family dynamic in highly
disfunctional families...hell, it's part of any family for that
matter. It's part of the adhesive that keeps families together, and in
this instance, if what the author claims is true, it makes the other
family members culpable.

denied
that abuse like that existed within the Pelzer family.

actually ROOTING FOR THE MOTHER.
