Local hospital may have killed a patient. Need help
Bible John ) writes: A former client of mine whom passed away about a month ago went into Mercy hospital of Redding, CA in good condition with working kidneys to receive surgery of his decubitus. I'm sorry about the loss of your friend. Whenever someone has surgery, there is an opportunity for bacteria to enter the body. A certain percentage of people will die from surgery. People with poorer nutrition will be more likely to die. It's sad but true. Taking lots of vitamins around the time of the surgery can improve your chances, but even strong healthy people can catch an infection during surgery and die. Things happen and we just have to find some way to accept it. I feel for you at this difficult time. -- Cathy Woodgold http://www.ncf.ca/~an588/par_home.html We are all Iraqis now. |

Dally ) writes: I would no more leave my child alone in a hospital room than I would leave them in a hotel room. I left my daughter sleeping in a hospital room long enough to go and eat a meal at the hospital cafeteria. I asked the nurses to tell her that Mummy would be back soon, if she woke up. The nurses encouraged me to go and not to worry, but I suspected they wouldn't hear her from the other room if she did wake up, and anyway just having strange nurses tell her Mummy would be back soon might not be all that comforting. Luckily she slept until after I got back. Ideally I would have had another family member coming to bring me meals; in fact my mother did bring me a meal the previous day, so I only left my daughter that once. My daughter was 2 years old and was in the hospital for about 24 hours. I guess I pretty much agree with you. -- Cathy Woodgold http://www.ncf.ca/~an588/par_home.html We are all Iraqis now. |
