Default Maternity Clothes

I'm having trouble finding affordable and trendy clothing locally,
there are no shops where i live that sell any maternity wear. I've had
some catalogues but everything is so expensive and i am on a tight
budget. Has anyone got any ideas?

I third the Old Navy recommendation. Most of their maternity clothing is
pretty inexpensive and cute. Gap also has nice maternity stuff, but a bit
more pricey (although they run good clearance sales). I always liked
Target's maternity selection, but like Sophie, as soon as I became pregnant,
it's as if they put all their ugly stuff out just for me

Try the Old Navy, Gap and Target websites, as well as www.maternitymall.com
for Motherhood's maternity clothing (also inexpensive).

My favorite shirts are the button-downs with a little bit of lycra by
Liz Lange at Target. I've got four different ones and they were about
$17 each. I wear them with either Old Navy Yoga pants (drawstring), a
stretchy skirt or shorts. Very comfortable, roomy & fairly stylish
IMO.

stuff. The minute I got pregnant, it was all gone.

I've gotten my stuff at Old Navy. I even went to Goody's and bought
non-maternity XL tops just yesterday. If I was going to shop online I'd

try
Motherhood Maternity. Anything with an Empire waist would be good.

I agree, most catalogues and websites are expensive. I was looking at a
really cute site yesterday but $42 for a t-shirt, I think not.

Not all Old Navy Stores carry Maternity clothing. The on that opened
here just last year is actually a good size store, but no maternity
wear? Not good at all.

None of the Old Navy's here do either (Greensboro, NC) but I've been
very happy with what I've ordered online. Plus, the one time I did
want to return something, I was able to do so at the store even though
they didn't carry any maternity that was their policy.

Have you tried eBay? Maybe you could buy a lot for less then a bunch new.

I was happiest with the Gap and Old Navy clothes I ordered online. Also, I
picked up a few non-maternity shirts from Old Navy with an empire waist on
the clearance rack that worked great (I normally wear a medium, but bought
XL, and they fit great!). They were a whole lot cheaper than any of the
maternity clothes I bought.

I had really bad luck with a lot of the Motherhood Maternity clothes I
bought, although they are pretty affordable. The kakhis and cords I bought
there were fine, but I had 2 pairs of their polyester dress slacks that were
unwearable after a few washings...I replaced them with a pair of wool dress
slacks from the Gap that cost twice as much, but were much more durable... I
wish I had gone with the Gap slacks from the start.

Agree with most of the other posters. Target has some affordable maternity
wear, Old Navy (online if the store near you doesn't sell it) and Gap
online. With both Gap & Old Navy online you can return your items at the
store if you need to. Also you can always buy plus size clothes instead of
maternity wear. Motherhood Maternity has some affordable clothing. And don't
forget ebay.

Have you tried e-bay? There's LOADS of stuff there, often new with tags
still on (NWT).
