Default I'm back

Hi All

Well I finally managed to fall pregnant again after about 5 months of
trying. Joanna is doing really well and is now 22 and a half months
old which I find hard to believe as it seems like only yesterday that
I was writing to let you know she'd been born and everything else that
went on then. Social services are still in our lives but are doing
okay, my support worker has finished working with me and I don't see
my social worker very often and he is talking about taking us back to
court in January to get the care order lifted for good which is great
news. We are moving back home to Luton in 2 - 3 weeks so that I can be
closer to friends and family and it will be better for joanna as
she'll see more of her grandparents and her routine won't be messed up
every other week while we take the 3 hr journey to luton to see family
and friends.

I'm very early in this pregnancy at the moment and he/she is due in
August and this time he/she will come home straight away with no
problems, this has already been confirmed with relevant people. I feel
okish but am feeling really tired which I will need to keep an eye on
because i've always been borderline amenic. I've not really been too
sick but have been sick 3 times so far.Boobs are not sore but they are
sensitive and tingle every now and again lol. I've been suffering from
the odd bit of backache and i'm already showing a little bit but this
could be because my body knows what it's doing blah blah. Anyway catch
u all about soon.....

Brilliant news on both counts, and I'm thrilled for you. I can also
hardly believe Joanna's nearly two. Thank goodness all of that horror
is behind you, although I know that in one sense it's something you will
never get over. I know that memories of that ghastly time are bound to
come back to you as you have your next child but I do hope they don't
spoil the joy of this wonderful time for you. Congratulations and I
really hope everything goes smoothly for you.

All the best,

Sarah

Congratulations on your pregnancy, April! Re your saga with child
protective services, you go girl (or as I think UKers say, good on
you)!

Congratulations April, I hope the move to Luton goes well. We've never
lived close to grandparents, though have been fortunate that my parents
are willing to travel, so we'd only go to them for a longer stay a
couple of times a year.

Thanks everybody for your kind encouraging words, I don't honestly
think i'll get too much grief with social services this time round
because (1) I asked them what sort of involvment they would have this
time and they said very little and they certainly wouldnt be placing
it in foster care (2) They can hardly say well yeah you're fit enough
to be Joannas mum but not fit enough for another baby lol, unless I
give them reason the court would laugh in their faces. I am scared
though but normal pregnancy fears that I have with all my pregnancies
like omg what if I mc, Joannas pregnancy hasnt helped this as I had a
threatened mc with her but she got through that and was born on time
and healthy and I also fear that something wil happen to me during
labour but hell too late now to worry about that too much and finally
sids also scares the hell out of me and i've got to face that one
again when baby is born.

Try not to worry to much, I know it's not easy, every mother worries,
it's normal, we do our best to keep our kids safe, but there is only so
much you can do.

I'm laid up at the moment recovering from surgery, so DH is looking
after the kids, I've been surprised just how anxious I can get when I
hear a bang or a crash downstairs, if I was looking after them, even
though I don't have my eyes on them every second, I know what they are
doing or where they are and the I usually have some kind of feeling for
what has happened, plus I'm there in a flash to relieve my worries.
