Yeah, well. I admit that (to me) the picture is pretty tame.
But on the other hand, I would not have a clue without your
description. I assume the "ancillary lobe" is the mass at the
top in front of the doctor's hand, and that the main placenta
is what she is holding at the bottom. I also assume she has
the amniotic bag turned inside out. If these assumptions are
wrong, you can provide additional additional explanation.
