You should be able to get the evaluation for free. If she qualifies, i.e.
her speech is below the percentile determined by your state, then you
would also get the speech therapy for free and your insurance would not be
involved at all. In my state, whenever they do a speech assessment for a
child under 3 they also have another person come and do a complete
developmental assessment.
