Sorry to go off-thread but: my ex-OB told me this last September.

Holy hell! He must own some VERY old textbooks. I have "Handbook of
Obstetrics & Gynecology", Ralph C. Benson, 1964, and parts of it are
funny,
other parts are downright gruesome.

This was the same MD who told me if I refused an episiotomy I would end
up with a 4th degree tear.

Interestingly, I got a notice from my insurance company a few weeks ago
that he's not on their approved provider list anymore.


Hmmm...wonder why?
