Paintball for preteen
Son asks if he can add paintball to his collection of toys. He said few
friends at school (4th grade) has this toy and go to field. Im in southern calif. Son is social, responsible and do ok at schools but he somehow seems to like guns and like to play games rated "Mature" His mother doesn't object to this toy gun as long as I buy him the gun, she buys him the outfit, I told him I will buy him this toy, now regret it. He seem to be easily influenced by his older friends, everything they have and play, he wants it too. Any advice from parents whose kids have and have not this toy? |

The problem is how he will react when he gets hit. it does hurt a bit. He also needs to wear proper protection, including protecting his face with a face mask. In addition, it should be perfectly clear that he never aims at anyone's face. Other than that, I don't see a problem with it as long as he is playing in a proper area. Jeff |
